Bridging
What bridging means
Bridging is how verified carbon inventory held with a registry or issuance program is brought onto CO2 TRUST as CO2T (1TON) credits—so it can be listed, transferred, and retired in one place, with a clear trail back to the source.
Connecting inventory through CO2True (CO2True.com)
You should not need to jump between Puro.earth, Isometric, Carbon Standard International (CSI), and other operator portals yourself to wire credits into CO2 TRUST. CO2True handles coordination with each registry partner that applies—for example Puro Connect where that integration is used, plus separate links for Isometric, CSI, CO2True-issued partner programs, and other sources as your credits require—so inventory lands on-platform as CO2T credits with the right provenance.
The flows at CO2True.com (and related CO2True / CO2 TRUST experiences) walk you through the steps for your situation. Anything program-specific is called out in the flow, onboarding, or partner materials—same idea as retirement: simple on your side, CO2True manages the partner and registry communication needed for the outcome.
Why it matters
- One coordinated path to get verified credits onto the marketplace instead of stitching registries yourself.
- Underlying rules differ by operator; CO2True carries the integration burden so you are not responsible for each connector.
Outbound bridging (roadmap)
Outbound bridging means making CO2T credits usable or visible on other venues (for example marketplaces such as Toucan.earth). That is roadmap and depends on legal, technical, and registry constraints—separate from inbound bridging onto CO2 TRUST.
Platform direction
We keep bridging simple in the product while continuing to deepen how CO2True syncs with Puro, Isometric, CSI, CO2True issuance, and future partners.
